I watched the Monday Night-er last night with him and the Dallas Cowboys went up against the Carolina Panthers. Now, not taking anything away from the Dallas' win, but the Panthers just look awful. Moreover, the Cowboys should have torched them and had fun doing it. However, I guess they wanted to make it look interesting.
I know everyone wants to criticize Romo because he's gotten everything so easy, or at least it seems. But the guy can flat out play, and I don't know any other quarterback who has the athleticism like him.
He managed the game, and that's all they needed. The defense was there for Dallas, all they needed was a little offense to compliment them.
The third quarter was I think were the game really fell into Dallas' hands, and it just on one play. Romo, late in the third quarter did a little bit of dancing to avoid the sack and threw across the field to Tashard Choice for a 1st down and more. That play alone swifted the whole mindset of the game towards the Cowboys favor.
I'm not saying I'm a Cowboys fan now, but I do respect their game.
They could easily make a deep run this year. Their the best running team in the league, which decreases the pressure off Romo. Less pressure on Romo means better production out of him, and that's the main goal I would think to be in Dallas.
I think all the bad mouthing should really be put to rest until the playoffs start or the season is over. It's no point! Let Romo show all you doubter what he can or cannot do, before you continue to devour him. I know he hasn't shown up in the playoffs so far in his career, but what QB starts out winning game in the Superbowl, and playing consistently. NOT MANY!
Romo had a nice game, and that's the main story here. Go Big D!!
