Even after the Lakers won the championship I told you all that it wasn't going to end there. I knew they were going to make the right moves in off-season, to prepare themselves for another title run, and they just did.
I'm not even going to mention Ron Artest just yet!!
The league should be really scared of this Los Angeles team more than last years team. Kobe Bryant for the first time in about 3 or 4 years is 100% healthy and has had plenty of rest. If you thought a hungry and driven Kobe was tough to deal handle, then what do you expect out of him now. You barely saw him this off-season, and I for one think that's really good.
And I'm tired of hearing how he's getting too old to play as good as before. Seriously!!
This guy is still the best player in the game, and he's going to take his game to new heights with the dangerous team he has now.
Remember you have the triple towers in Bynum, Gasol, and Odom.
For one, I think this is the year where Bynum doesn't get injured and actually performs really good. If that happens then Gasol will have less work to do, making him more of threat as well and we already know what he can do. Furthermore, Odom is once again being slept on. People are failing to realize how versatile this guy is, and that he can play with anybody on any given night.
I expect big things from those 3 collectively and individually.
Finally, to the "biggest question mark" of the year. Ron Artest.
I actually believe he's going to be fine in LA. I know his past and performance on other teams may not have been the best of his ability, but he has nothing to play for back then. Now he's on a team who is the favorite to win this years championship. He knows he's the X-Factor, and that the Lakers chances of repeating are on his shoulders.
However, it'll be perfect. He'll be doing the same thing he was on every other team he played for. Guard the opposing teams best offensive player, and average about 15 ppg, and 8 rpg. That's the same thing Trevor Ariza (remember him) did last year, who the Lakers got rid of for Artest. He'll fit in perfectly with this team because he knows that this is KOBE's team.
Let's Go LA!!
